Earthlings: Prehistory

Six million years ago the Earth was shaken by a sudden climate change. The lush forests of Africa became savannahs. Primates, who until then lived in the trees, learned to live on the ground and to walk on two legs in order to be able to stand in the undergrowth and see into the distance. They learned to think, to invent, to communicate, to imagine; they became human. Equipped with stone tools and mastering the fire, they set out to travel the world. In this beautifully illustrated novelty book by Patricia Geis, you can journey through the history of humankind: How did we live, what did we eat, how did we organize ourselves? How did we get here?
